Our current projects

Water Quality

Water is essential to keep us alive, healthy and sturdy. Remote communities heavily rely on source water whose can be impacted by environmental changes. ARCTIConnexion supports indigenous youth to develop the technical and leadership skills for water research answering communities’ most pressing issues.

Food & wildlife

Country food is a critical component to indigenous community’s well-being. The growing demand for country food and the decline in some wildlife populations makes it harder and harder for each and every one to access and enjoy this priceless resource. ARCTIConnexion supports indigenous youth to develop their capacity, merging their own and community knowledge, for wildlife research.

Culture & knowledge

Knowledge, language, culture and traditions determine who we are. With the colonization, many aspects of indigenous traditional ways of living have faded, and fewer and fewer stewards of the culture still remains to teach. ARCTIConnexion helps indigenous youth to connect to their cultural heritage, protecting and promoting the culture.

Workshop

In the midst of indigenous movements and reconciliation in Canada, a growing number of non-indigenous recognize, respect, and wish to engage with indigenous communities. ARCTIConnexion facilitate the meeting by providing opportunities for genuine interactions.
